Play and Learn

So much happens during playtime.  Children learn about themselves and the world around them through play.  Play teaches children how to get along with others, lets them test their skills and helps them develop confidence to try new ideas.  Play is the work of childhood.

Playing with your child is not only fun it is one of the most important ways you can nurture development.  When your children play with you, they learn important social-emotional skills that increase their self-esteem and self-confidence.  They also learn that they are loved and fun to be around!

Family Enhancement’s Play and Learn groups are age-appropriate environments with a variety of activities and equipment designed to encourage children to explore and discover at their own pace and in their own unique way.  Play and Learn group facilitators expose parents and children to learning opportunities and then model for parents how they can do so at home to nurture and guide their child’s natural, individual style and ability.  We use an “Ages and Stages of Development focus and create learning experiences from evidence-based resources.

The FunZone happens every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am-12noon at our Fordem Avenue location.

PalZones are our Mobile Play and Learn locations and occur Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at locations throughout Dane County.
