Parenting is both a joy and a challenge! Every person is affected by parenting—we have all been parented or are parents ourselves. Yet despite how universal parenting is, it is not always instinctive. Many of us find that parenting our children is the toughest job we have ever encountered. It isn’t easy but with, knowledge, love and appropriate limits, parents can be a major, positive influence in developing happy, healthy, capable and responsible children.

The focus behind all of Family Enhancement’s programs is to work with parents to enhance their parenting skills, confidence and understanding of child development so that they are better able to meet the needs of their children. Family Enhancement brings information, ideas, activities and recommendations from more than three decades of experience working with families to help parents develop and strengthen their parenting skills to become positive, nurturing parents. Our staff of professional parent educators draws from a variety of evidence-based curricula including Love and Logic, Positive Parenting, Active Parenting, Incredible Years and more to help parents feel supported in their role as a parent and to recognize and work with their child’s strengths in order to build healthy, nurturing relationships.

Today’s world presents many challenging circumstances for parents raising children. If you are a parent looking to expand your knowledge or abilities, or a professional working with families, Family Enhancement is here to offer opportunities for you to build on already existing family strengths in order to navigate the hard times, reduce conflict, and enhance family communication.
